Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance

By using the Travel Nest SA website and booking a holiday rental through us, you agree to these terms in full. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Bookings & payment

All listed nightly rates are in South African Rand (ZAR) and exclude the once-off cleaning fee shown on each property page. A 50% deposit secures your booking. The outstanding balance, together with a refundable breakage deposit of R1 000, is required before check-in. The breakage deposit is refunded within 7 (seven) days after check-out, less any deductions for damages, missing items or breach of house rules. Your booking is only confirmed once we have received your deposit and sent written confirmation.

2a. Property viewings

Viewings of any property are strictly by appointment only and remain subject to availability, as our homes are frequently occupied by paying guests. Please contact us in advance to request a viewing slot; we will confirm a time as soon as the property is free.

3. Cancellations & refunds

Cancellations more than 30 days before check-in qualify for a full refund of any amounts paid. Cancellations between 14 and 30 days before check-in forfeit the deposit. Cancellations within 14 days of check-in are non-refundable. We will always do our best to assist with rescheduling.

4. House rules

Each property has its own house rules listed on the property page. By booking, you agree to comply with these rules, including occupancy limits, smoking restrictions and noise policies. Hosts reserve the right to charge for damage or breach of rules.

5. Liability

Travel Nest SA acts as a booking agent between guests and property owners. While we vet every property, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your stay. Guests stay at their own risk and are encouraged to take out personal travel insurance.

6. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
